Blizzard Anomaly 94

The Blizzard Anomaly 94 is clearly a ski designed for easy pivoting. It fully embraces this characteristic. With very little tail, it turns with incredible agility, making almost immediate pivots. The rocker further enhances this ease, making the Blizzard Anomaly 94 particularly comfortable for forest skiing. “Its ease of pivoting is more than instinctive,” said one tester: the ski anticipates the skier’s desire for a turn! It enters the turn quickly, almost like assisted steering.

The Blizzard Anomaly 94 does not offer great precision in its performance, as the tail is barely present, except during long, wide turns where the skier engages the edge. In this setup, you need to manage your pressure, especially in the fore/aft direction. When on the tail, the ski doesn’t offer a very solid grip, and the turn isn’t particularly smooth. It requires a certain skill in balancing. What you gain in ease, you lose in finesse and grip on hard snow. Its edge hold isn’t particularly convincing. It’s present, but requires careful management: pressing, releasing, finding balance with finesse, even though the flex is well-engineered. One should not overload the Blizzard Anomaly 94 at certain points in the turn.

The shovel’s rise is excellent, allowing the ski to glide over snow piles with ease. It performs very well in challenging snow conditions. The Blizzard Anomaly 94 absorbs a lot of the terrain, with very little kickback to the legs, and it pivots extremely well (as already mentioned). It handles direct lines very efficiently.

The ski glides adequately, producing a distinctive sound. You can ski fast with the Blizzard Anomaly 94—its structure is solid and responsive. It’s well-built, and we like its 3D design. The edge line wraps around the tip for longevity—this is a durable ski. It fits easily into lift racks.

This is a good ski for those who prioritize ease of pivoting, accessibility, and possibly performance in large turns. Instinctive skid/glide pressure, ideal for forest skiing.
