Compressport has designed this (very) warm insulating jacket that brings both style and serious warmth.
The Compressport Into The Wool JKT W 2.0 uses wool as its main insulating material. Our test sample weighed 490 grams, not exactly ultralight but perfectly acceptable for its intended use.
The first standout feature of the Compressport Into The Wool JKT W 2.0 is its comfort. There’s the obvious thermal comfort—which is excellent—but also the overall comfort provided by the ultra-soft lining and the slightly stretchy fabric that moves naturally with the body.
Our testers particularly appreciated the high collar, which protects the neck well without rising too high. The collar is paired with a snug, wraparound hood equipped with a small visor. The hood has no adjustment system but fits automatically thanks to its elasticated edges. The cuffs also feature elastic bindings for a secure fit.
The fabric has a nice water-repellent finish—just don’t linger too long in the rain, as the Compressport Into The Wool JKT W 2.0 is not a shell jacket. The build quality is excellent, and the jacket includes two zipped hand pockets and one zipped internal chest pocket.
While the technical performance is convincing, its €350 price tag remains on the high side.
A beautiful insulating jacket to stay warm before your runs, with a design very much inspired by the trail-running spirit.
