Just looking at the Elan Ripstick 106 makes you waanna ski…
It floats well in powder but you do have the feeling when you push it harder the tip is too flexible. On the edge of groomed pistes and in choppy snow it rides well at low speed. You have this underlying feeling that the tip is too flexible.
On groomed pistes it doesn’t always hold its grip and the turns aren’t that precise.
The tail keeps up, but you need good balance and be careful to not unbalance the tail. Designed for non-expert skiers who aren’t looking to stretch their limits.
