This Fischer Transalp 88 fits the bill for Freerando. It doesn’t shine in any specific area but does everything well.
The classic ski-tourer appreciates quite a wide ski that will easily float in deep snow. A few modern touches (lightness, skin system and shape details) improve its behavior and ease of use. It’s limited by its average width in very deep and difficult snow.
Flat pivoting is easy and the grip and turning on hard snow are satisfactory giving the skier confidence.
