This road cycling shorts were designed specifically for women. Our testers chose to try the Gorewear Spinshift Short Tights+ W, a strapless model, for added convenience. It’s also worth noting that this product is intended for near-daily use and mid-distance rides.
Right from the start, we noticed excellent comfort thanks to the ultra-soft fabric and well-designed chamois, which hugs the body’s shape nicely. However, depending on your body type, the area just above the knee might not fit snugly—especially if you have slimmer thighs.
The craftsmanship is top-notch, with minimal use of seams. The fabric, made from recycled materials, is breathable and feels like a second skin. It moves with the body effortlessly.
The wide elastic waistband is also comfortable. However, for slimmer body types, it could benefit from being slightly firmer.
The dual-layer foam chamois performs well—it absorbs and distributes pressure effectively. Specifically developed for female anatomy, it’s well-suited to mid-distance rides but reaches its limits on longer outings.
All in all, this is a thoughtfully designed women’s bib-less short for mid-range rides. A classic piece that quickly disappears from your mind once you start pedaling.
