Movement propose a freerando ski that is very light and fun to ski. The Alp Tracks 94 has a flat tail with a moderate lift at the edges and a discreet front rocker. So this gives a very interesting active edge length which doesn’t affect pivoting and plaining.
In powder and bumpy snow they are comfortable to ride and the deformation of the front of the ski is remarkable: if the ski tips need to come out of the snow a lot they do it with ease; if they need to come out a little they do that too, they react depending on the conditions presented to them.
Same thing on hard terrain, in the turn, depending on the angle and pressure you want to engage when initiating turns, they are done with ease, dosed and varied. It is effortless.
On all types of terrain pivoting is simple and skidding turns intuitive. You increase the speed and the Movement Alp Tracks 94 retains all its qualities.
A powerful skier will probably find its limits in a pure freeride use. We found them perfect for freerando use; comfortable, lightweight, easy to handle, a real pleasure to ride.
The design is sober and the testers liked that.
Positive points: uncomplicated, immediately easy to use, lightweight and not tiring. Very versatile on all types of terrain. Good weight/accessibility/performance ratio.
Negative points: A powerful and technical skier will possibly find them limited (pure freeriding).
We gave these skis the FIRST Award. An excellent product at a high price.
