There’s no radical innovation here, just the smart application of what works. Patagonia sticks with synthetic insulation, choosing PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco (60 g/m², 100% recycled polyester). Unlike natural down, which tends to absorb moisture and takes forever to dry, PrimaLoft delivers consistent warmth even when damp. The Test4outside team has relied on this insulation for years — its sheet construction eliminates cold spots and thermal bridging while keeping warmth uniform.

In cool to cold conditions, the Nano Puff performs exactly as expected. It’s a midlayer or backup piece, not a deep-winter parka — best worn under a shell when the weather turns rough. Warmth is instant, comfort equally so. The cut is classic yet flattering, designed to fit the female body without excess bulk.

The collar doesn’t rise especially high, which makes it easier to layer under hooded fleeces or shells, though a bit more height would improve protection from the wind.

Build quality is unmistakably Patagonia: impeccable stitching, smooth zippers, and clean finishing throughout. Hem drawcords are neatly routed inside the jacket to avoid dangling, while the wrist cuffs use soft elastic that seals comfortably without constricting.
