The Quechua HD S3 goggle is lightweight and offers an attractive design despite its low price. It’s an ideal product for those who want to hit the slopes without spending too much or compromising too heavily on quality. Of course, a few details keep the Quechua HD S3 from being considered a high-end model.
The very soft foam compresses quickly, and you soon come into contact with the frame — so you shouldn’t tighten the strap too much. The strap adjusters don’t slide very smoothly, but with a bit of care you can adjust them without major difficulty. Finally, the frame is rigid, so it’s important to check in-store that the Quechua HD S3 suits the shape of your face.
The lens we tested is designed for sunny days. Honestly, we didn’t notice any major differences compared with a high-end model. It provides proper category-3 protection, and the field of vision is standard. The orange/red tint of the lens looks great.
We were not able to test the Quechua HD S3 in wet snow or rain to verify whether it is prone to fogging.
