We really liked the Scott Ambit goggles because they are extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear. Their shape and size, which fit perfectly on medium to large faces, are the reason you almost forget you’re wearing them. In our opinion, however, the main comfort advantage comes from the foam. The Scott Ambit features triple-layer foam. Scott highlights its expertise in motorcycle goggles in the development of the Ambit: the foam effectively manages excess perspiration. In any case, the overall comfort level is excellent.
The lens is green/yellow in color and very effective in bad weather, even though the tint is somewhat unusual.
The field of vision is good, even if this is not a true “oversized” goggle. We noticed no distortion at the bottom of the Scott Ambit lens. In certain situations, some internal reflections can be observed. Overall, the Scott Ambit provides good terrain definition thanks to strong detail contrast. The lens is generally clear, with good light and shadow management. Sun protection is limited, as the lens is category 2.
The strap is wide, anti-slip, and holds securely on a helmet. It is easy to adjust, even while wearing gloves. The thin black frame around the lens provides smart protection against impacts.
A solid, fairly versatile pair of goggles that performs well in low-visibility conditions. Comfortable thanks to well-designed foam. All at an affordable price.
