361° continues to evolve its road running range through a mix of small refinements and, at times, bigger leaps.
The 361° Meraki 6 fits right into that strategy—a shoe that has steadily improved over time without ever straying from its core identity: accessible, comfortable, and built for everyday training runs.
Extremely well-crafted, the Meraki 6 weighs in at 282 grams, showing a slight weight reduction since the Meraki 4, which we previously tested.
This sixth edition maintains an 9 mm drop (22 mm at the forefoot, 31 mm at the heel). Cushioning is immediately noticeable but far from overpowering—nothing like the overly plush midsoles some brands use. The impact absorption is well balanced between heel and forefoot. Comfort is a clear strength, not only from the midsole—which can help compensate for small alignment issues due to fatigue—but also from the ankle padding. It’s worth noting that this foam is somewhat sensitive to moisture, and the shoe does gain weight when wet.
During testing, we couldn’t help but compare the Meraki 6 to the ASICS Gel-Nimbus: it delivers comfort, ease of use, and solid cushioning. It’s a shoe for logging miles, working on form, and simply enjoying your run. Energy return is modest—this isn’t a racing model—but foot placement feels confident, with very little lateral movement. The ride is smooth and traditional.
Forward propulsion is limited compared to rocker-equipped shoes, and the forefoot area is relatively narrow.
Stride transitions are pleasant, and this versatile shoe can easily handle long distances without issue.
Foot lockdown is secure thanks to the snug fit and effective lacing system. The heel is very well held in place. Fit precision is excellent, and the flat laces are easy to adjust.
