Anita is a German brand well known for its lingerie range, from day wear to sports bras. We are testing their Air Control Deltapad sports bra from their active range. This range is designed for extreme and endurance sports such as ultra-distance trail running. Does this bra respond to our needs?

Anita offers a range of sizes 80cm to 110cm with cup sizes from A to H. You will find your correct size, the same as your usual bra size. We received a 90C for testing.
Straight away on opening the product we noticed the perceived quality, and beautiful trendy Atlantic blue/anthracite color (ref 388). There are 9 different colors. Also, the cup fabric is breathable, and the grey foam shell doesn’t cover the entire cup seems very soft, which we confirmed on our test.
The straps are lined, probably for better breast support, but this is not much use for smaller chest sizes. For these this lining could have been avoided to have less rubbing and less weight on the shoulders. During a three-hour session in the mountains we did feel the thickness of the shoulder straps in addition to the backpack’s shoulder straps.
The mechanism to adjust the shoulder straps is the same as an everyday bra strap. Some brands have adjustment at the cup to make it easier to adjust, Anita’s Air Control Deltapad is at the back.
There are no wire frames in the Air Control Deltapad, so rubbing is limited. We didn’t feel any irritation, pains or rubbing during the test.
Without a wire frame the only negative point would probably be that it doesn’t show off your chest or give it a shapely form; but whilst ultra-running it isn’t really the aim, it’s comfort and support that are important.
After 6 washes at 30°C the product was slightly bigger, the cups are looser, so you would need to do long term testing to see how it reacts.
After a splits session the bra is slightly damp which shows good breathability and sweat evacuation. However, the Air Control Deltapad takes longer than an ordinary bra to dry after washing, especially the shoulder straps and cups.
The major plus with this bra is its super comfort throughout the tests, as well as its great support. At such a point that we had to really concentrate on it so as not to forget we were wearing it! This is extraordinary as you can then just concentrate 100% on your sport.
What we loved the most was its softness of the lining against the skin. There is no doubt, this is a top-quality product from Anita.
The Anita Air Control Deltapad could’ve been more practical by having adjustment at the front, but this is put aside due to its high performance in sport. Its aesthetics could be discussed but as they are fabrics that are necessary for good support you need some give and take.
At 72 euros, the price is high compared to other brands that sell similar products between 39 to 55 euros. But in these cases, they are often good, but with lesser quality fabrics.
This Anita bra is perfect for ultra-endurance sports due to its support and great comfort.
