The Asics Dynablast has unusual sensations. Designed for the road it has a lot of cushioning. The Japanese brand uses the term “trampoline”, probably excessive but could give a feeling of spring. The rear area has indeed this bouncy effect which filters a lot, cushioning before rebounding like a spring. Don’t wait for it to propel you forwards but the feeling is pretty real.
The feeling is quite surprising and pleasant on any hard terrain. Runners who are looking for a substantial cushioning without losing too much spring will be happy. Those who like a direct foot strike and dynamic ground contact will like it less. After the tests we still couldn’t figure out if the cushioning with double-dosed spring improved speed or not.
If you run forefoot with these Asics Dynablast, you land on the area that is stiffer, so you have a more direct foot strike. When fatigue strikes, this “trampoline” effect from the rear is very much appreciated by those with sensitive joints.
We particularly enjoyed these Asics Dynablast it high speed in the downhill and it allows you to lengthen your stride without suffering. On long runs when you start getting tired and when your foot strike is less precise, the Asics Dynablast enables you to economise.
The sole’s foam squishes down rapidly, a heavier runner will leave their mark on this soft foam. The lifespan needs to be validated. On the other hand this shoe is very light, feather light: 225g for size 42.5.
Laterally i trolls a little. After reflection, it’s probablya. Shoe you should run alternatively with a harder model, so you keep your foot strike precision in tack.
It is though, a very pleasant shoe to run in, soft, light and not inert. Very comfortable thanks to a notable foot envelopment that is very cosy. The toe box is wide, also amplified by the very flexible mesh. Heel precision is good as well as the foam padding around the ankle.
The flat laces stay in place you don’t need a double knot, adjustment is good, even if you need to fine tune it at the front. Very smart perceived quality, seamless construction is top notch, precise, perfect.
The Asics Dynablast surprises with its king size cushioning. It gives a very bouncy spring with a heel strike. Huge filtration for runners who are looking for this kind of comfort.
