The connection to the world of performance — if not outright racing — is clear. This Atomic boot adopts the Redster color scheme, and with its 130 flex, the Atomic Redster TX 130 is the most advanced model for skiers who want top-tier on-piste control — but it’s not limited to just groomed runs.
It allows precise ski control and the ability to apply strong, powerful pressure to the edges. The flex rating is fully respected: you can drive hard into the tongue, and the boot doesn’t give in or deform.
We initially noted a good balance between high performance and a certain level of comfort. However, after extended use over several weeks, the liner loses its support, and the presence of the shell becomes more noticeable. Comfort drops off significantly with time.
Thermal insulation is also a weak point, particularly in the toe area. Be cautious when tightening the buckles over the instep — the shell compresses slightly, which can cause pressure points. Waterproofing is limited.
Entry and exit are relatively easy, considering the stiffness of the boot. The fit is excellent, and in some cases, the Atomic Redster TX 130 can even be skied with the buckles open due to its great foot retention. The buckles are powerful and glove-friendly, meaning they don’t tear up your gloves. The sole is standard but provides satisfactory grip. Overall, a clean and effective design.
Excellent fit, precision, and stiffness — ideal for expert skiers. But: limited waterproofing and comfort that degrades noticeably over time.
