This Atomic with its 90mm waist is also interesting on piste. It is both easy at initiating turns and carving.
If you give it enough energy with angulation and pressure the Vantage 90 CTi carves on hard snow.
If you sequence short turns, you need to make more effort especially in the second half of the turn to fulfill the loop.
Wide turns are easier on the edge but speed increases and the skiability deteriorates.
The carbon design base gives reactivity but doesn’t seem to make any difference to the weight as it is rather heavy (could this be the bindings which are heavy?).
Off piste the Atomic Vintage 90 CTi needs a lot of attention for proper positioning and carrying out the turn. Useless in bumpy ground, difficult terrain shakes them about and they don’t like rhythm changes.
Choosing the correct size eof ski is absolutely essential, we even wonder if you should take a size smaller than usual. In which case the ski would be more flexible and useful in different conditions.
This ski needs to be adopted by demanding and expert skiers.
