The Vantage X77 is a ski for anyone looking for a ski for all conditions. It’s easy to pivot on all types of snow and terrain. The Titanal plate has been removed for this model and subsequently it has less grip and less precision. We were surprised by the lightness of the front of the ski thanks to its bevelled edges.
Atomic has got rid of any excess material to lighten it and put a veined top-sheet that protects the ski from gashes from the edges. It’s a super-easy ski to use with nice initiation into the turns and good flow. Carving is easy and varying the carving zone at any moment. It’s effortless off piste.
Going really fast the ski becomes less convincing and the grip is not so obvious. On steep compacted snow the ski grips and keeps its manoeuvrability. It’s an all round fun ski for a relaxed skier to be able to go anywhere without too much technical thought.
