The Briko Uragano Polar are category 3 sunglasses. So they are therefore versatile in their use due to a high UVA and UVB protection out on the snow or sea. You can of course use these sunglasses for all types of outdoor sports thanks to their very tough design. They also look classy with the brand’s bike helmet.

We mostly tested these glasses cycling and trail running.
The black smoked lenses provide good visional contrasts going from light to dark areas (for example riding on a sunny road and going under trees.)
Efficient sun protection mainly because of the way they curve around the side of the head. The polarized lenses are efficient and ensure regular polarization over the entire field of vision. One thing we noticed was the slight sheen when looking at some surfaces: it doesn’t make any difference to the visual comfort but you lose a little natural vision.
The wide slatted arms provide good air circulation and we also noted air circulation at the top of each lens reducing the likelihood that the Briko Uragano will fog up.
Sweat runs along the lens and drops off because there’s no underside lens frame to block it.
The nosepiece is comfortable and not in your range of vision, you easily forget you’re wearing these glasses.
The ends of the arms are adjustable, you can shape them to your morphology avoiding pressure points. Despite this adjustability you may find pressure points just behind the ears. The ends could possibly be a little narrower for comfort.
They weigh in at 33g, a little heavy, but they are very tough sunglasses, so you can’t have everything!
These sunglasses hold fast to your head, in all conditions.
We also loved the “rustic” look that resist superbly against any shocks. Briko chose to lighten the load by having a textile glasses case due to the fact that the sunglasses are so tough. But, for 140 euros a hard case would not have gone a miss…
