A mixed review with this ski; you need good balance and precision skiing with well centered weight distribution, if you find yourself skiing slightly leaning back the tail slips and the X88 over-steers.
The tip vibrates a bit but nothing serious, if you use enough pressure it’s fine.
The main problematic is the initiation into the turn, which is disconcertingly not very fluid.
It has good grip if you give plenty of angulation and pressure.
Without this dual mix the ski becomes imprecise. The bite on hard snow could be improved. In tight turns it rides well in skidding turns.
Off piste it lifts out the snow quickly and pivots easily. The tip does its job well, bringing float and ease.
Overall this Dynastar has a structure that returns a fair bit of disparity on the terrain, so you don’t tend to let yourself rip.
The transparent look gives it class as it reveals the Power Drive structure. Sadly overall it’s an average report for a ski that did look promising at the outset.
