This Wayback 96, K2 is a mix between a touring ski and a Freerando ski.
Depending on the width of the ski you choose you can have a ski that adapts to all manner of activities.
We tested 96mm which provide a compromise between width and comfort that you need for going uphill. The 96mm waist is efficient on hard snow but not enough for deep powder.
The classic look has sober graphics that allow you to see the wood grain underneath.
The titanium adds stability for constant speed without losing its lightness.
Carving is more demanding when you want to vary the radius.
Choosing the correct length is crucial, so take into account your height and physique to choose the size well. If you choose skis that are too long they are much more tiring to ride in the turns and adapt to the terrain.
One of the positive points of the K2 Wayback 96 is its aptitude to be at ease in steep slopes: they give you confidence.
Their carving stability also keeps good longitudinal balance, a quality that you find in skidding turns at any speed.
These are great skis in the Freerando range.
A good technical skier will know how to make the most of their potential.
