The new Lange Shadow LV boot has been tested with a true 130 flex, not a compromise in stiffness… It features a Gripwalk sole. Its flex is progressive, distributed in two parts. The upper part is slightly softer than the midsection. The overall management is excellent; you can make powerful, precise turns with it.
This Lange Shadow LV boot is very easy to put on thanks to a very well-done injection. The immediate comfort is truly excellent. It’s also warm. There’s a sensation of flexibility, of softness inside: really pleasant.
Lange has particularly well-treated the ankles with a high level of comfort, even though this assessment is, of course, determined by one’s morphology. We didn’t notice any pressure points.
The wrap on the forefoot is very precise. However, we felt a bit lacking in heel hold deep within the boot.
A product that we really liked because this Lange Shadow is lightweight and high-performing while remaining comfortable. A very good boot that hasn’t neglected its design. There’s been a good design effort. It hugs the foot closely while being both gentle with the foot and aggressive in turns.
The perforated buckles are really beautiful and easy to manipulate. There’s nothing to say about the strap closure; it’s really easy to adjust. We particularly liked the comfort on the tibial edge: some sort of gel does the job well. The last is 97 millimeters.
We are truly impressed by this Lange Shadow LV, both beautiful and high-performing. A very well-crafted product that deserves the First award from TEST4OUTSIDE.COM.
