This is undoubtedly one of the most technical socks in the LCF-Outdoor range. The knitting quality is outstanding, incorporating multiple materials, varying thicknesses, and different knit structures.
The result with the LCF-Outdoor Bio-Ceramic is a thin, highly technical sock that offers thermal performance very close to that of the LCF-Outdoor Recon, for example.
Its slim profile will appeal to skiers and snowboarders who prioritize precise foot control for better edge feel and responsiveness — without sacrificing too much comfort. Although it is also marketed for ski touring, the LCF-Outdoor Bio-Ceramic feels a bit too thin to cope with friction over long ascents. If given the choice, we would opt for a slightly thicker model for ski mountaineering. That said, the Bio-Ceramic regulates heat buildup very effectively, limiting perspiration — which can be a drawback in ski touring.
The LCF-Outdoor Bio-Ceramic wraps the foot like a second skin. Its shape is excellent and highly effective — a refined sock you don’t hesitate to show off. The honeycomb knit on both sides of the foot and along the leg is particularly impressive.
Made primarily from polyamide, cotton, and polyester, the LCF-Outdoor Bio-Ceramic dries quickly. We observed no deformation during use. It offers excellent hold above the calf, with no slipping or pressure marks at the end of the day. The price is very reasonable considering its performance and technical sophistication.
A highly technical sock with an advanced knit construction using multiple materials. A thin design that preserves precise feel and control when skiing or snowboarding.
