What do you need from a pair of ski pants? Does the Telluride Pant meet those specifications? They need to protect you from the snow, with a design and materials that provide the highest possible comfort and freedom of movement, as well as heat management. Energy expenditure variations are significant in the lower limbs and so the garment’s membrane breathability is mandatory.
These Millet Telluride pants tick all these boxes when skiing. They are very comfortable to wear as the stretch membrane is very flexible in both directions. The technical design with preformed knees encourages all movements.
The insulation is stunning and the lining neither too thin nor too thick. They are pleasant against the skin and provide good warmth in most negative temperatures. In extreme temps or if you are sensitive to the cold, although this modern loose cut is suitable for a larger number of people, you can always add technical underwear. They don’t weigh much.
The lightly padded high waist at the back adds comfort and protection. Minimalist suspenders support an adjustable waist with two Velcro tabs attached to a wide elastic band. At the front there’s a press stud and hook above securing its fastening.
Millet has not forgotten the classic snow gaiters and rather generously sized fabric reinforcement protecting against ski edges on the inner side.
The two hand pockets and the additional one on the right thigh have YKK brand waterproof zips.
Air vents with non-waterproof zips are located on the inner side of the thighs. As well as a very breathable membrane, these zips are very useful if the weather is hot, if you are walking or ski touring. These vents are well protected with a flap but even when closed, when skiing fast and the air is very cold, you can very slightly feel the air through the zips.
The main membrane with its 20,000 mm impermeability guarantees performance in this area.
Our test on the slopes confirmed this data. The water-repellent treatment delays the fabrics getting wet if in rainy situations, but no water got through in skiing in wet snow conditions.
The price is very reasonable; if the membrane keeps its qualities after use, which should be the case, these pants will satisfy the largest number of skiers for a long time, with a modern and comfortable all-conditions model.
