The Rossignol Famous 8 are easy skis to skid. They initiate the turn with ease and have good stability. Carving is performant for lightweight skiers who want to progress and push their limits.
These aren’t really targeted at ultra-technical skiers, more for the general skier.
One of their major bonus points is their capacity to change direction. They love it, so much that you need to stay vigilant as they like the game and are immediately reactive.
The difference between the Famous 8 and the 10 concerns the sandwich construction that gives the 10 more stiffness. In pricing terms there’s just 50 euros difference.
The Famous 8 was appreciated for its accessibility and ease of use. A beautiful ski for progressing gently without being overpowered by the ski.
