The Rossignol React R8 TI are more powerful skis than the React R8 HP tested and the React 6.
The React R8 TI are great skis, and thanks to the Titanal plate they are more performant than the number 6 from the same range. They are also noticeably heavier, even if you don’t feel it on the snow you do in the tips. Another obvious difference is they glide better. If our information is correct the React R8 TI have a “Hero” type base with different structuring than other skis in the React range.
Skiing they have superb stability compared to the other models. The tips seem more rigid, even if they float a bit when you are straight-lining, you can trust them.
The React R8 TI main characteristics are their turn initiation speed and their ability to vary the radius of the turns.
Like other skis in this range they can easily go from small to wide turns especially carving. The tail and waist are efficient and active when you need them and you don’t get taken by surprise, or trapped in a turn.
The front of the skis enjoy entering into turns and it’s a real pleasure.
Thanks to the Titanal stockier skiers will feel more relaxed as the skis bend less (in comparison to the React 6).
On compact snow they bite well so you can increase your speed and not lose any grip. The tips chatter a little but don’t interfere with their performance.
There are handsome metal tips and standard perceived quality.
The React R8 TI are straight skis at the waist, designed essentially for carving on groomed slopes. Their major interest is their ability to vary the radius of the turns.
