We discovered the SIDAS Recovery Cryo Gel over a year ago. There are other products like this on the market: both relaxing and that provide a cold sensation. The difference with Recovery Cryo Gel is that it feels colder when you apply it to the muscles.
This gel was mainly used for recovery, after long running or cycling sessions. The effect on the calves/thighs is almost instant: the cold feeling is really nice, and lasts several minutes. The sensation of well-being is noticeable, the gel makes you forget that your legs feel heavy or swollen with lactic acid and other toxins. We didn’t test this gel for trauma and bruising.
We wouldn’t dispute the effects of “comfort”, but however, it’s difficult to comment on the actual effectiveness in terms of recovery benefits. Does this gel speed up recovery? There should be a scientific study. AT any rate the pleasantness of its application needs no debate. The gel spreads easily and there’s a very tantalizing minty smell that escapes. You don’t need multiply layers of gel, one or two walnut sized balls of cream is enough for the calves.
The SIDAS Recovery Cryo Gel is made up of only natural elements, organic silicon, and essential oils (mint, peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary, and tea tree). Then there are other components whose names are mysterious and only a chemist can decode them.
The SIDAS Recovery Cryo Gel is a product that now never leaves our sports bag. Used after tough training sessions, it provides undeniable comfort through its cryo-action. Even if the cooling effect is momentary, it lets you forget about having heavy legs before wearing compression socks.
