On paper this ski is a hard to tame with its racing DNA. In the action, what a surprise, the ski is in charge; it pulls straight ahead and the tail leaves the turn. You have the impression that your feet have been kidnapped, not nice. The skis are too shaped at the tip and tail.
The weight is well dispersed and despite the high quality materials the ski isn’t too heavy.
There isn’t any inertia in the tip and the very narrow waist (70mm) means you must have good lateral balance that only more expert skiers are capable of executing.
The turn initiation is quite easy and then you need some wits about you to accomplish the rest. You must be well positioned, play with angulation and pressure distribution.
Really its user manual is not easy, not as easy as the Völkl Tiger Pro for example, the reference from this range.
The top sheet is very high quality, strong, resistant and durable. We had mixed thoughts about this Head I-Shape Pro.
