Officially these Cébé are designed for trail running, but they are still very performant for MTB due to the photochromic lenses (available 0-3 or 2-4), which are very reactive going from bright light to shadow.
These Cébé S’Track L 2.0 are perfect for trail running in terms of protection, head hold and anti-fogging.
Let’s look at the sunglasses’ arms first: kitted with the Cébé technology “S’Tech”. Each arm is lengthened by a semi-rigid end that curves inward. This piece provides extremely good head hold in all situations and avoids the traditional rigid arms that are noticeable in this zone. Even if you sweat a lot or put your head backwards, they don’t move. We know this system because we’ve been using it for a long time on another pair of Cébé. The downside? The soft plastic wears out and can break. It seems to us that on this new version of the Cébé S’Track L 2.0, the plastic in question is less flexible and fragile. You would need to see after time.
These Cébé S’Track L 2.0 are the type of lenses that you use all the time for different reasons: firstly they aren’t fragile (they also have a very good semi-rigid case and a fabric bag). Secondly: they adapt to light conditions without distortion on the edges of the lenses. We like the lenses’ pinkish tint and the details. The third reason concerns their anti-fogging during physical effort. They don’t squeak when in use and the nose pads don’t slip or break.
These Cébé S’Track L 2.0 join the lightest on the market at only 30g.
They may not be the trendiest looking sunglasses, but they are 100% performant. You totally forget you’re wearing them. An excellent product for trail running.
