We loved this new 2017 model of the Oxsitis best seller.
Where do we start with this pack? It has the perfect balance between performance and lightness! It really is as light as a feather – empty on your back you can’t even feel it! Light, light! It’s made from ultra tear-resistant Ripstop nylon. (We can confirm this as we have used an Oxsitis for years made from the same material and nothing has changed, except the colors!)
This pack is very easy to adjust, especially when the bladder empties progressively: you just alter the Velcro fastenings on the sides. It’s a very stable pack with two front clips. The clips don’t interfere with breathing due to their good positioning.
You have access to various front pockets for putting soft flasks, energy bars, etc.
Oxsitis have added two new small pockets at the front in Lycra for putting gels, energy bar packaging and small objects. There are plenty of pockets to suit all your needs.
There is a whistle. On the last model there wasn’t.
The bladder has only one slight problem: the Velcro fastening that holds it in the pocket is a little too low for 1.5 – 2L bladders. It is perfect for 1L reservoirs.
The bladder nozzle is made from silicone with two positions open/closed, but you can leave it on open, it doesn’t drip or leak.
Not that easy to dismantle for cleaning as the tube passes through a magnetic system (can also be used as a race bib holder!)
Very useful, easy to attach and detach.
The pack is sold with two soft flasks that can be positioned in the two left and right front pockets
The flask nozzles are easy to use, just squeeze with your teeth and suck.
The pack is easy to wash with soap and a sponge. It is under guarantee for two years if you do not put it in a washing machine. The first model we had lasted 6 years with daily use. It is still in good condition just the colors have faded due to machine washing!
This pack is versatile and sits high up so you can use it biking as well as running. It dries quickly and the back doesn’t stay wet. It is also waterproof.
You can attach your poles, but we didn’t get a chance to test this.
All the pockets open easily with an efficient curser that you can handle even whilst wearing gloves.
Great idea: a waterproof pocket on the front for your Ipod or telephone with headphone access.
The large back pocket has a waterproof zip.
There are several compartments in this pocket to be able to store your kit; survival blanket, bike repair kit, etc. Very practical as you can see what’s in these pockets too.
Biking the pack sits above your jersey back pockets, so you can access them too.
Our testers loved the design, the black and white zebra look, which can be worn with practically any outfit! Perfect match with their leopard skin …
A great pack for trail running and outdoor sports in general, which definitely wins our FIRST Award.
It is noted as weighing 175g, on the scales it showed up as 231g.
Bladder 1 liter: 114g.
2 flasks: 73g.
We used this equipment over a long period of time
