ROSSIGNOL ALLTRACK PRO 130

The Rossignol Alltrack Pro 130 are aimed at freerando and/or freeriders. They are kitted out with LowTech inserts. They are also an excellent option for ski instructors who need to walk a lot in their ski boots.

We skied for months with these and some of our testers adopted them for instructing. They are reasonably light (not the lightest on the market) at 1830g. What we appreciated was there weight/performance ratio leaning in favor of performance.

The flex 130 maybe slightly overestimated piloting with the Rossignol Alltrack Pro 130 remains precise. In this area it is difficult to rival or equal a 100% pure Alpine boot but let’s say that they work well on the piste. We did notice slight deformation in the form of the shell under powerful pressure, but honestly nothing to worry about.

The volume is consistent for this type of boot that is for ski touring (a bit)and for downhill (a lot). The width across the forefoot is 100mm. We didn’t notice any pressure points around the ankle joint or instep, even despite that the boot is narrow. Do make sure you don’t tighten these Rossignol Alltrack Pro 130 boots too much because you could quickly feel the shell.

The flexion fore/aft hard point is progressive, which is a rare quality that we appreciated a lot: generally with this type of touring boot the tibia suffers a lot from sudden flexion stopping point.

You ski the Rossignol Alltrack Pro 130 almost like an Alpine boot, with great energy transfer in the foot pressure.

The uphill flex isn’t much but it’s enough to go in search of powder with a bit of vertical drop.

The very narrow  attachment strap twists and the stitching could be more aesthetic and precise.

You slide these Rossignol Alltrack Pro 130 on with ease! Like slippers! We really appreciated the grippy soleon slippery surfaces, very reassuring.

The ski/hike mode is triggered with a small strap with a plastic end: you have to be a bit of a contortionist to grab it with gloves on. The system could be a bit more practical.

In “hike” mode walking is fluid and pleasant we do wonder how we put up with Alpine ski boots for so many years… If the two buckles of the collar are closed the “hike” mode is almost unusable, you must open the buckles for full benefit.

The Rossignol Alltrack Pro 130 are freerando boots with an excellent lightweight/performance ratio, fairly precise and capable of managing powerful skiers.
