The Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti is a well-made, very interesting ski that perfectly fits its role as a high-performance piste ski. We really enjoyed it, and the test session ended with a First Test Award from Test4outside.
We tested it in 167 cm. Skiing this Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti is a true pleasure, it shines with its ease of use. It reaches its limits with heavier or expert skiers, but for a skier who wants to use it daily on piste, it’s perfect. You can slide it with drifting/gliding turns, position it quickly across the slope, and handle bumps effortlessly.
The Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti really shines when skiing on a groomed piste and when starting to lay down carved turns. Getting the edge grip is very easy. The standout feature is the well-tuned tail, which never locks the skier into a turn. It’s soft, not too aggressive. The Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti always stays in service to the skier, not necessarily flashy, but it gets the job done and never hesitates. It delivers some nice sensations in carved turns.
You can really push your edges far in the turn, the Rossignol Hero Elite ST Ti is quite playful, transitioning from drifting to carving. It’s forgiving and adaptable, all with a high level of performance. The edge grip is solid. However, when you push it into turns that are even tighter than what it’s built for, it becomes a little less cooperative. But this behavior is ultimately expected. On the other hand, the short turns in carved positions are very enjoyable.
A ski that feels light underfoot. Not an exceptional glide, but a smooth ski that doesn’t vibrate. It doesn’t send shock through your legs.
The design was deemed a bit “outdated” with the rooster graphic. A nice, protected tip with a screw-in protection cap.
A solid product that earns the First Award. Well-built, very interesting. An excellent mix of smoothness, fluidity, compliance, and performance.
